Today we changed course and went to Willis, Texas.

The reason behind this was some traveling friends from several years ago lived here. We had not seen them for almost 10 years and did not know where they had ended up.

I had contacted some other friends to see if they knew their whereabouts , but no one seemed certain. After a search on the internet , I came up with a couple possibilities and we were going to start calling down the list in hopes one of them were the Richard & Dorothy we were seeking.

To our joy the first one we called , Dorothy answered the phone. Soon Richard was on there with her and we found out they were 75 miles from our location. Plans were made for us to travel to a campground about 5 miles from their house.

After getting to the campground setting up the motor home we took off for their house. It was good to see old friends and talk about all the good times we had shared together.

We had a lot of catching up to do and in the conversation Richard mentioned he had a sister in Georgia. I asked “where”? He said a little town called Calhoun, Georgia………..Connie and I started laughing and told him we lived 6 miles from there…..What’s that about it being a small world?

We spent 2 days and certainly enjoyed our visit with Dorothy & Richard. We said our good bys and promised to keep in better touch over the next years….
