Nothing like a good plan…………….Except when it does not work. you have to be flexible and adapt….

We rolled into Sweetwater Texas shortly after lunch and located the United States Post Office. Parking across the street in the motor home and taking up several parking spots, I jumped out and ran in to get our snail mail…..The kind and understanding USPS employee informed me their was no mail to pick up. I explained it was mailed general delivery, priority mail the previous week and it should be here. He was not about to indulge me and look again. I told him that it always made it in this amount of time, and would he mind looking again. Nope, it’s not here he replied, without looking, except to nod in the general direction of the mail boxes. He said maybe tomorrow..

Nothing left to do but get the motor home out of the street and find a place to spend the night. Maybe tomorrow I will get a different clerk and our mail.

We had not intended to stay the night in Sweetwater…

Riding through town we spotted a county park that has electrical outlets for campers. Checking in at the office the man said we could stay for $15. 50 amp electric and good water. We were the only ones there. The previous weekend they did have a rodeo but all signs of that were just about gone.

Update on miles traveled…
To this point we have put 1650 miles on the motor home.
