Here we set, waiting on a part for the motor home. The dealer is saying maybe by the weekend it will arrive. If that’s the case it will be next week at the earliest to get it installed. We are getting real anxious to get on to Puerto Penasco. We are about 280 miles from our destination….If they don’t hurry with that part we may have to leave here without it. Just one option anyway.

We do enjoy this RV Park. It is nice and quiet and all it cost us as members is $3.00 a night surcharge. Not bad for all the amenities they have…..

This past Sunday we went by Tombstone Az. On the way to Sierra Vista. Having been there several times , we just wanted to see if any changes had taken place since our last visit.

Upon arriving we were surprised to find the town full of people. It seems we had stumbled in on their big celebration for the year. It was the 78th year of this parade celebrating the “Town to tough to die” We got there and got a good seat on the boardwalk and waited for the parade to start. The weather was great and it was a festive atmosphere.

Soon the parade got underway and for a small town, it had lots of participants. Everyone was dressed in period clothing of the 1800’s.
Lots of horses, guns, wagons, stagecoaches etc. Some of the people live for this day to reenact a more tumulus time in the west’s history.
Of course Tombstone is famous for the shootout at the OK Corral involving Wyatt Earp, brothers Virgil and Morgan. Their friend Doc Holliday was also involved. A lot of people still question Wyatt’s account of the gunfight.

We really enjoyed it and would recommend it too anyone, and Tombstone is a must see if your interested in the Old West…
